Why have liberals slammed Anne Coulter about single parents when she is absolutely right.?
Today’s Facts….which of course do not pertain to all single parents however…….
Today in America…
Single parents account for nearly a third of family households with children under the
Half of children will live in a single parent household at some point in childhood.
The number of children born to unmarried women per year quadrupled from 500,000 to more than two million in less than twenty years.

What is the effect?
Violent criminals are overwhelmingly males who grew up without fathers.
Seventy-five percent of children/adolescents in chemical dependency hospitals are from single parent families.
More than half of all youths incarcerated for criminal acts lived in one-parent families when they were children.
Sixty-three percent of suicides are individuals from single parent families.
Seventy-five percent of teenage pregnancies are from single parent homes.
Children living at home with both parents grow up with more financial and educational advantages than youngsters raised by one parent, as US Census statistics have long shown.
Seventy-two percent of the US Populations believes that fatherlessness is the most significant social problem America is facing.
Children in single parent families are two to three times as likely as children in two parent families to have emotional and behavioral problems.
Children who lived with only one parent had lower grade point averages, lower career aspirations, poorer attendance records, and higher drop out rates than students who lived with both parents.
I am totally aware of deadbeat dads……trust me.
I did say not all single parents. I know there are many great single parents and many horrible parents who stay together. I do find these statistics to be a bit alarming though. Don’t you?

Ann Coulter slams single parents just for the heck of it and she offers no constructive suggestions. All she does is tell people not to be one. That is not at all helpful. Bashing people because they’re single parents helps no one. Most people would probably rather not be single parents but they are.
A thinking person would analyze the reasons underlying the trend and offer some worthwhile suggestions as to how to address the problems. Coulter is a propagandist, not a social theorist and it shows in her work.

The statistics are true. however, Ann Coulter is just plain mean.
Because coulter is a vile excuse for a human being, spewing bile and hate. she will die alone and unloved. I PITY her.
A man like Coulter has no place telling women how to live their lives.
I don’t know where you get your statistics, but the answer is free birth control for everyone.
Because they don’t want to hear the truth. The facts are facts and if you don’t like them, oh well. We need to go backwards a little and make family important again. By family, I mean 2 parents raising the children, not just a village.
Because she is for prosperity and order. Something Obama is against. He is for poverty and chaos.
Obama’s plan is for social justice – not for recovery. Social justice requires that Americans live the same way and at the same standard of living as Kenyans do. As you will be aware Kenyan leaders are rich and everyone else is poor. This is only fair. It is social justice.
Further, the Obama plan was written by the brains trust at the Central Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and it bears the seal of approval of Robert Mugabe. The pointless capitalist attacks are so passe and stupid. We do not need prosperity. Obama will abolish it and everyone will be a better person for that.
The second instalment of the Obama blueprint was provided by special adviser Pol Pot shortly before his death in Cambodia. Glorious Leader Pol Pot knows how to deal with dissent and produce a well regulated civil society. He did that with elan for the Khmer Rouge [Cambodian Communists] in the killing fields of Cambodia.
Liberals believe what they want to and facts don’t count and are racist and not politically correct..
If you or anyone has a magic formula to make two people love eachother and stick together please let us know.
In my case I know I would have much prefer my parents to have divorced than to see my mother being battered almost every day by an abusive man but to have to "stick it out" for the sake of us children.
You know what else would help? If wages were enough so that one person working could afford everything necessary in a family and the other party could just stay home with the kids.
Good daycares and school system
Flex time for workers
A longer maternity leave so that a working mom did not have to dump her very young baby at only six weeks
Paternity leave so that men could also bond with their children
More PAID vacation time and sick leave so that parents could actually have time to physically BE with their children and have some quality time.
Health care for all so that no matter what job you have you didn’t have to choose it based on this one "benefit" because no matter where you went you’d always have it.
So much for acountry that preaches to care for families. It doesn’t help families AT ALL.
I doubt Coulter be a supporter of any of these things that would actually directly benefit families and ther quality of life

This could have a very easy solution, dare I say it? There are CHOICES…
I can tell the difference in my daughters home
she is always a single mom and her three kids have no one to
inspire them to be anything but what they see their mom as
she lives off the system and goes from man to man who stays a
short time and moves on
in the meantime the TV is the baby sitter and these kids live a life
of quiet desperation~My daughter no longer listens to my advice
and prefers to live like a gypsy but my grandchildren are suffering

I don’t know why she’s being bashed…I personally don’t like her, but that stuff is true. I am a single mother and my children have great grades and I put their education at the top of the list. This sure doesn’t say much for men these days! Yes, the women are the ones who gave birth, but where are all these deadbeat dads? This should not be something against women, but against men. There should be more restrictions on men who run off and leave the mother to raise the children by themselves! It takes two to tango!
Yes, but don’t forget that the deadbeat dads do more harm to their childrens’ lives than the single mothers that raise those kids.
Ann Coulter seems to have a point, especially in light of the octomom and others – but she ignores the elephant in the room – men who abandon their kids, sleep with multiple women, and generally treat their "baby’s momma" like disposable goods. Individual responsibility goes both ways.
Instead of bashing single parents for those things, try looking at the reasons those parents are single, and the circumstances surrounding them!

Well look at your numbers again. If half the kids in America come from single parent homes don’t you think it likely that this would undoubtly make it likely for them to be in larger part of any catogry?
Its sad that there are so many single parents but what can be changed. Its still better then being killed, or taken by the state right?

Some of these answers are funny, like the one she’s right but just plain mean! The truth hurts. A lack of a positive male figure is the reason for a lot of some peoples problems. Maybe if Obama’s father would have been there more for him he would have some decent ideas!
I am not a liberal and I ignore Coulter. She is a propagandist and her hatred to an ideaology only serves her attention seeking lifestyle… she never has real solutions (except inciting violence against liberals and believe me her own spindly spider monkey arms couldn’t maim a fly) and has nothing to give to the whole nation. There are plenty of females who come from two parent families that get pregnant…they usually don’t have the children(ABORTION) because daddy wont be embarrassed around town…
or the even weirder thing some do…raise the child as theirs leading the poor kid to believe his mother is his older sister…

I’m VERY tuned into world news, and this person falls into the same category of zero relevance as any media loud-mouth personality. These people are noise makers who realized that they could make millions of dollars keeping people rushing around all riled up rather than pay attention to the content of actual events.

You and Ann are both correct. Over 20 years ago; my children became the victims of a single parent home when my ( now ex ) wife put me out of our home in order to be with her boyfriend. I was a Detective who did everything in my power to see that my 2 boys were disrupted as little as possible under the circumstances + had good values of right and wrong and a work ethic instilled in them. I never missed one child support payment and often gave more than I was required to. Today I am proud that my boys have grown into find hardworking, highly principled men.
A woman of true facts who speaks with fork tongue. Ann is nothing more then Rush Limbaugh in drag.
I think that is true overall.
But it doesn’t pertain to all single parents.
I come from a single parent household. My mother was an idiot and decided to divorce my father. She has always been ruled by emotion. She never thinks of the future.
However, I have always done well in school and am now in college.
But it would have been better if my dad was around.
