as a lone parent doing a degree when i recieve my grant etc. my income support stops. My grants etc. only cov
er term time so can i claim benefits just for the long summer holiday?

I am assume you are talking about education grants fro school. As you know, the aid is given for a year. Therefore, if you go to school from fall to spring semter and you are taking a full load of courses, you would have used up all of your grant money. So, the only thing you can get is loan if you have not max them out either. Maybe a summer job could be more efficient.

Great post! I had the same grant question a few months ago. It’s really tricky to find out about this stuff on the net, but my wife bought me special special software (CD) for my birthday.
