Well technically it all depends on that one single parent. But these are from my perspective.
Pros:
- The child will become extremely close with that parent
- The child will spend get to know extended family more (since everyone knows single parents can use all the help they can get)
- The child will get lots of social interaction at a young age, possibly at a daycare or babysitters.
- The child will learn that its not always a bad thing if life is unfair, and that you can accomplish things alone.
Cons
- Only one parent to make the money, keep up with the house and children.
- Sometimes less time is available to spend with the kids, thus the term "Latchkey kid"
- With only one income the child might go without much more than other children
-The child could become spoiled because the parent feels guilty that their child has only one parent.

they connect better with one parent but there is only one pair of perental eyes around:)
