Is it your child, how old are you, is there any relation, etc. You will need to do a home study and prove that you can afford to give the child a good home. You are going to have to show that you are well qualified to be a dad. There will also be tons of paperwork, fees, and you will want to hire a lawyer. Sadly, if pedophiles have a lot of money they may be able to bribe people to look the other way.
