Which foreign countries allow single-parent adoptions for U.S. citizens?

   im sorry but practically none. if you want you can wait for up to 5 years
   to get a child
   but they will make an exception if you adopt a special needs child
   and there are more restrictions than just being single
   there is financial, you cant be on depression medication, and in China you cant be over weight

   You should research agencies in your area that handle international adoptions. They will list their programs and their criteria.

   If you don’t have any particular country in mind and would adopt from pretty much wherever, why specify that it has to be a foreign adoption? Why not consider adopting a child from foster care in the United States? I’m not opposed to international adoption, but if you don’t even have a country you want to adopt from, I’m not really seeing the point of it in your case.

   There are many children who are legally free for adoption in the US awaiting homes, and though they’re in foster care their biological parents’ rights have been terminated, and reunification of the biological family is no longer possible. You can adopt these children without the risk of them being taken away.

   I’m not saying not to even consider international adoption, but if you don’t care where you adopt from, why not look to the kids in your own area who need a good home?

   I know the following countries allow single people to adopt;

   Albania, Bulgaria, Colombia, Ethiopia, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Kazahkstan, Liberia, the Philipines, Poland, Russia, Taiwan, and Vietnam

   Some of these countries only allow single women to adopt but not men, and some only allow singles to adopt older or special needs children
