What can u say about this issue arising in the Philippines?
This is an issue of morality, Nat’l Statistic Office of the Phil shows their concerned towards
the country’s increasing numbers of single parents at recent decades, why it happened? What are the problems? who will be blamed for this issue?
Is this due to the continuing presence of foreign cultures and foreign religious sect who are tolerating in this issue.
Being roman catholic Christian majority country and muslim minority this issue is unusual to us ‘coz of our tradition and culture which is NOT tolerating people to have children but not legally married to someone.

there are various factors and not to be blamed solely on the religion.
first, media has a big role in inculcating ‘education’ to our children. internet,tv,radio and the paper are very accessible to anyone.
second, the role of the parents. not even politicians and prominent families have escaped from this, remember the daughter of lani and bong revilla? its just that she eventually got married to his bf. the parents are supposed to look after their children while they’re young.
third,pressure from the environment. peers,classmates,etc.
but my question is,what if the girl got pregnant and she and her bf intend to get married now that’s she’s pregnant..then an accident happened, the guy died. the girl is considered as a single parent right, what choice does the catholic church has in situations like this?
the government is clearly concerned about the rapid rise in the population. that is why is it bent on passing the reproductive health bill to, at least, help curtail population growth. however, so many have protested against its passing including the Church.
anyway, put the blame not on the presence of foreigners but on the low morality of some women, mostly teenagers who indulge in pre-marital sex. put the blame on the parents, too, for not properly guiding their children; to inculcate in their young minds an awareness of the consequences of illicit relationships/teenage pregnancies etc. and last, put the blame on the country’s poverty and low education because these are major factors that are driving these young women to sell their flesh.
but if we have to consider what the bible says of the last days of this wicked system of things – all these must occur to fulfill the prophecies it has prophesied long before you and i were born, long before your greatgreatgrandparents were born. that all men will turn away from God and will become lovers of sin.
You call it a Catholic nation. How many just go to mass and never listen. Atheism is on the rise.
Gay’s are not only condoned they are admired.
The world is growing more secular everyday.
No one wants to believe they will answer for their sin anymore.
That’s why. No God in their hearts.
how much would it cost for a couple to have a church wedding, when all they want is to have sex.filipinos are starting to use their common sense, enuogh with this costly ceremonies.some marriages last a few years only.
It’s called Change. Nothing much anyone can do about it because sooner or later things change. For better or for worse, its just a part of the bigger show.
