I am wanting more information on International Single Parent Adoption.?
I am looking mainly into what countries accept single parents adoptions as well as the age ranges that are accepted, the costs, everything I need to know. Does anyone know of any good sources for me to use! Thanks
I am researching both Domestic and International adoptions, I have just had much more luck finding information on domestic adoption. Anyone know about Japan adoptions?

Here’s just a few to get started…if you want to research this site.
http://www.adoptive-parenting.com/index.html
Go down the left column to where it says "Single Parent Adoption".
The list includes China, Ethiopia, Guatamala, Vietnam, Russia and others. Also includes necessities that potential adoptive parents should consider and specifics as far as adoption regulations.
Also – I’d warn you for an influx of rude answers to appear within the next few minutes/hours. Saying "International Adoption" on this section is almost on the same level as saying you worship the devil, in many people’s eyes. Not mine of course…I think if you want to give an orphaned/unfortunate child a better opportunity than what it has now, that is very selfless and brave
Especially if it’s from another country.
well my mother was going to china to adopt and she was single. i think the ageranges are something like 30 and 50. my mom was aslo going for a healthy baby although a baby with a medical conditions are always quicker to adopt. sometimes these medical conditions can be really minor and need only small care such as a child with an extra digit or something like that. the youngest child you will get would be 7 months old and any age after that. though if you are older than 45 i think you have to get an older baby thats like 12 months or older. the wait for a baby thats completley healthy is nearly two years right now. i am not sure of any good sources but you could google adoption qualifications for any countries you are interested in. hope this helps.
Why adopt internationally? There are over 100,000 children in foster care in the U.S. who need homes and loving families. Contact the Dept. of Child & Family Services in your county to get started. DCFS doesn’t discriminate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, or marital status.
Check the US State Department’s website on international adoption. It gives a good overview. It is possible for single parents to adopt internationally in some countries, but not in others. This is a starting point only. There are many, many things to consider when adopting internationally and it isn’t something you jump into headlong.
ETA: Japan almost never does international adoptions. I believe that you have to be a legal permanent resident of Japan to adopt.

Japan isnt really a ’sending’ country..its wealthy and doesnt have the same problems as china with female infanticide etc.
You can adopt from El Salvador as long as you are stable in every way and you have to be 15 years older than the child. Good luck
