graduated in 2003. I work as a critical care nurse. I took students when I was an undergraduate student and I also have parent plus loans for my son who is a junior in college. I have applied to go back to school next year. The track I would like to follow in graduate school does not allow for online education or I cannot work part time and go to school. I will be obligated to go to school full time which I am looking forward to. The problem is I live in CA but has been admitted to graduate school in PA. I am willing to relocate to PA and live there and go to school and if possible get a job and stay there. What is the possibility of getting financial aid for graduate school?

I live in Colorado and am a single mother that just enrolled to go back to school full time. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as where I can apply for grants and things for living expenses?

I’m a 27-year-old single mother and I’ve decided to go back t school. I already have a bachelor’s degree, but it’s in English and I can’t do anything with it that pays more than an hour. I also can’t raise my child and pay all our bills on an hour, so I’ve decided to go back to school to supplement my degree. In going back to school I have to quit my full time job so I’m going to be even more broke. I don’t want a pile of student loans eating up all my money after I graduate because what’s the point in making more money if I’ve only got more bills to pay? Where can I apply online for a continuing education scholarship for a single mother? All the sites I’ve found tell you where to find scholarships on other sites and pretty much all of those either charge a fee I can’t afford to apply or are not offered for people who have a degree. This is really stressing me out!
I’ve already tried that stupid about.com site (which I absolutely hate) and raisethenation.com to no avail.
And before anyone gets hateful, I’m a single mother because my baby’s father left me. I’m not some dumb kid who got knocked up and is trying to live off everyone else. I worked two jobs while pregnant to make ends meet and now I’m doing everything I can to give my child a better life, hence going back to school. I’m not asking for a hand out, just a hand up.

Does anyone know how I can apply for the grant?
