i enrolled at college yesterday and i had to go to my jobcenter for info on childcare wen i handed my learners agreement in they pointed out my next of kin was my ex partner but the form did not say ex i have been claiming income support and am lone parent the only reason the formstated this was because i have a child with my ex and if anything happened to me i want my child to be the first to know…i did explain this to job center and he seemed to accept this reason but imnow worried incase i end up in some big investigation for something that is a genuine mistake
please help

hi , how do other single parents manage school holidays, i work full time & only get 4 weeks holiday per year, however the kids have like 12 weeks !! i have no family near by ( within 100 miles ) & cant afford to pay for childcare throughout the summer, i will cope but am finding it difficult to make arrangements, just wondering if others have the same problem & what options are available !!!

I want to compare the well being of children with single parents to married parents by examing childcare, the use of it, the availability of it, the need for it to increase income, etc.
