I am currently working, single mother of one, and not receiving child support for the past 3 months-I went into the DHHR office to update my son’s WV Chip insurance – and although I am not receiving child support- the only "So called support " I was qualified for was .00 in Food Stamps for the month of December 2007 – I have a 16 year old son – what is .00 in food stamps going to do for me and my son on the holidays. I kindly walked out – but it’s sad that even single parents working full time jobs don’t have the support – because of their guide lines of who is qualified – I say they need to raise the guide lines of monthly income – buying groceries is high everywhere.
P.S. Ms. Oprah if you are ever reading this – Please have minority issues addressed – the NAACP did not help me when I needed them to stand up for my rights!
