Hi i choose a movie the pursuit of happiness in my research class anf from that movie i picked the topic " Single parenting and its long-term effects." now i am thinking at starting i want to put some tear shredding single parents kid’s true story. i wanna do something creative before my essay so can you please help me out thanks in advance

This is my introduction.

How many single parents do you know? The family structure has significantly changed in past few decades. Single parenting is taking place of nuclear families in United States. Single parent household is no more nontraditional family in our society. This trend is spreading rapidly in our culture. As Kristin Ketteringham said in her article that, “The U.S. Census Bureau reported that about 30 percent of American families are headed by only one parent. Single-parent households numbered over 12 million in the year of 2000.”
Many people claim that they know how to raise kids and parent influence on their kids’ lives. These people talk about so many written articles that they might convince you that they have firsthand knowledge about raising kids. However, this is not always the case especially when it comes to writing an article. It’s very easy to write an article about single parenting but the in reality it is very different. According to US Census Bureau, “Children living at home with both parents grow up with more financial and educational advantages than youngsters raised by one parent, as U.S Census Bureau statistics have long shown. But even for those children living in single parent homes, the marital status of the parent can affect the quality of life.” In following paragraphs I’ll show you that in single parenting house a child’s life is severely compromised when raised by a single parent because of limited resources, reasoning, and the destruction of a "traditional (nuclear) family"

I’m really interested in going to college, but really don’t think I can afford even the cheapest of schools. Are there any grants or scholarships that a teenage parent can receive. I’m 19 and had a baby when I was 16. I’m considered a single parent because we haven’t gotten married yet (I’m still with the girl that I got pregnant).

I hope someone can help me find a way to go to college.

Thanks in advance

Ryan G

Hello,

I am looking for names or links of scholarships for single parents and/or non-traditional students. I am looking to transfer this Fall to a private college and need to get started on aid applications. The scholarships much be open major or health related and not limited to certain schools or states. I have already filled out the FAFSA and applied for scholarships through the school, but I still need additional funds.

Thanks in advance!
Also…i am already registered with fastweb.com and about 10 other scholarship websites…
